Thumbs up to Hulu. Watch TV via the Web.

So, just ask me, and I’ll tell you… I don’t like paying for crappy television. Packages that don’t fit my preferences, and ones that get close change at random /shakes fist at Dish Network for bumping the NFL network up to the next tier.

Since I do not mind paying for a good internet connection, how do you save $50 – $100 and up a month? http://www.hulu.com HULU!!

It’s 100% legal! There are a couple ads that will play during your episode. We are talking about 3 breaks that have ONE commercial for either 15 seconds or 30 seconds each. So a total of less than 2minutes of commercials for a half hour episode. You can watch things in ‘HD’ if you have a decent connection. Not just TV though, there are movies also! The Professional, The Fifth Element, Requiem for a Dream, Gattaca, and Liar, Liar to name a very few. I highly urge you to check it out!

Here is why HULU works and will continue to work. You can watch past episodes of TV shows, I’m working my way through It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Now, had I recorded these episodes on my DVR or TiVo and watched them three years later, I would be seeing irrelevant ads, specials that are over, and political campaign commercials from two elections ago. The HULU model keeps ads fresh, so when I watch the first episode of He-Man Masters of the Universe (1983)the ads are relevant.

Hulu is a fantastic site and I encourage you to click the thumbs up or down during the short commercial breaks and maybe even visit a couple of the ads websites. Let’s help Hulu stay online for a long time to come!

I’m also experimenting with Adobe Media Player which so far is looking very promising!

Currently looking for something to stream live sports events (mainly football) and then it’s adios to cable and satellite!

Hulu gets 4.5 out of 5 ninja stars and a bucket of pop-corn
